Which age groups do you serve?

We serve children from 18 months-5 years old, including toddlers, preschoolers and TK.

How many children will be in the program total?

We currently have 7 classrooms. Class sizes vary from classroom to classroom (based on square footage) and are determined by Community Care Licensing, which has licensed us for a total of 117 children.

What is the ratio of teachers to children?

Depends on group age; 1:6 - 8. The older children are, the higher the ratio up to 1:8. Total class sizes vary based on physical space of each classroom.

What are the hours of operation?

We are open from 8:00 am - 6:00 pm Monday-Friday.

What are the scheduling options?

5 full days a week to best accommodate working parents. We do not currently offer part-time schedules.  We are open all year round and require a 12 month commitment.

What is the holiday/break schedule?

We close for about 2 weeks around the winter holidays (same as SFUSD), a week for Spring Break (same as SFUSD), and a week in August before the school year for staff development and to prepare for the new school year.

 Other holidays are: MLK Jr Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Indigenous People’s Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day and the Friday after Thanksgiving.

Are meals provided?

Parents provide lunch, and we provide mostly organic, vegetarian morning and afternoon snacks.

Do you offer toilet training?

We work with 2 year old children and parents to toilet train children once they show consistent signs of readiness. We know that all children develop differently, and observe them to learn their pattern and needs. With consistency and support, they will achieve this milestone when they are ready - body and mind. We provide compostable diapers and wipes service via EarthBaby.  

When can I apply?

We start our application process in the fall of each year for the following school year. Please reach out to inquire about rolling admissions.
